LOOK: LITTLE MIX Fans Rally Behind JADE THIRLWALL Amid Disney's 'Aladdin' Casting Decision
Disney's casting decision for the live-action remake of Aladdin has drawn mixed reactions from fans. Mixers, in particular, are dismayed over the casting of Power Rangers star Naomi Scott as Jasmine.
When Disney announced that they have finally found the actors who will play Jasmine (Naomi Scott) and Aladdin (Mena Massoud) for the live-action remake of the 1992 animated film during their #D23Expo event, Little Mix fans showed their support for Jade Thirlwall whom they think deserves the role more than anyone else does. For one, Thirlwall is of Yemeni and Egyptian descent.
Fans started to rally behind Thirlwall when she allegedly shaded Disney after liking an Instagram a comment citing the casting of "an Indian instead of someone who is at least of Arab heritage"!
