Star Wars Actress CARRIE FISHER Dies At 60
Carrie Fisher, the legendary actress famously known as Princess Leia in the Star Wars series, has passed away. Her death came days after a heart attack during a flight to Los Angeles. She was 60.
On behalf of Fisher’s daughter Billie Lourd, the family spokesman officially released a statement to PEOPLE saying: “It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning,” She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly,”
“Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”, reads the statement.
Last Friday, she went into cardiac arrest while flying from London to Los Angeles and was rushed Los Angeles International Airport to UCLA Medical Center after the plane landed. She is survived by her mother, daughter, and brother, Todd. Aside from being a famous actress, Carrie was also known as a brilliant author and has penned an autobiographical 2008 book, Wishful Drinking.
