Demi Lovato has a lot of artists to thank for shaping her into one of today's biggest pop icons. First on the list, the Spice Girls!
"I was definitely into the Spice Girls," she shared to Entertainment Weekly. "They had just come out with their movie Spice World and I was obsessed. I was singing their songs in the mirror and dancing around my room to them."
Demi's heart also goes on for a certain diva and her Titanic song which proved to be very memorable! "It was at the talent show when I was in kindergarten. I sang "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion and it felt natural, but the problem was my microphone went out while I was on stage - like, right in the middle of it! But I fought through it and won people over," she recalled.
The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer is not afraid to shout her love for Eminem. She's been very vocal about wanting to collaborate with her favorite rapper. "I can relate to him with being in recovery and things like that so I think we could make something awesome together," she told ET in a past interview.
But it was fellow Disney alum Christina Aguilera who actually inspired Demi's new album! "Her vocals are just phenomenal," she gushed. "Whenever people listen to my new album, I want to make sure that they can sing along to it like a pop album but also hear what I can do with my voice."
