A Live-Action 'Resident Evil' Series Is In The Works
Netflix has confirmed the long-rumored live-action adaptation of the hit Capcom survival game Resident Evil.
Teasing fans on social media, the streaming service unveiled the script's cover page with the episode title "Welcome to New Raccoon City". The script is penned by renowned American writer Andrew Dabb with Canadian director Bronwen Hughes at the helm.
The series is set to revolve around a new and original story within the world of the Resident Evil franchise. Other details about the series are still being kept under wraps.
It's not the first time the hit video game is getting a live-action treatment. In fact, the Resident Evil film universe - which kickstarted in 2002 - has spawned six films, with the last one being 2016's 'The Final Chapter'.
