RICH BRIAN Drops Latest EP ‘1999’ And Trippy Visuals For "Love In My Pocket"
It's the most perfect day to be a Rich Brian fan as the Indonesian rapper has rolled out his latest EP 1999, the official music video for previous release "Love In My Pocket", and the project's next single "DOA".
The 7-track offering was "inspired and crafted while Brian was under quarantine," giving him ample time to self-discover both musically and personally as he works his feelings on new relationships through his music.
Aside from prior singles "Don't Care" and "Love In My Pocket", Brian also revealed "DOA" as the project's third single and focus track. Moreover, he said the upbeat track—which is short for Dead On Arrival—is about competing with someone who has zero chance against you in the first place.
It continues on Brian’s fresh new direction and breaks any expectations for his style. "The melodies really remind me of Gorillaz who I love," Brian said in a statement. "It's a song that I always play whenever I wanna feel better about my singing, and myself in general."
