6 K-Dramas to Watch If You Miss IU
Karen Jane Ng
It's been a while since we last saw IU on our television screens - over a year to be exact in the fantasy series Hotel del Luna. And her movie Dream with Park Seo Joon won't premiere until next year. What's left of us, fans of actress Lee Ji Eun, now is her list of other K-dramas we can watch again and again.
Yep, our queen has taken different characters in a number of small screen projects of different genre. Here are our faves worth to be binged on again if you miss IU:
1. Dream High
IU portrays a shy, overweight aspiring idol in this drama, who works hard on her diet while bringing along her dream and her longtime crush as inspirations.
2. Bel Ami
Her role as Kim Bo Tong in this series really stands out for being free-spirited, innocently bold in saying what's on her mind and giving everything for her unrequited love.
3. The Producers
The conceited, cold celebrity character as Cindy was perfectly pulled off by IU here. The show also offers a look at the lives of K-pop idols and TV producers.
4. Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo
IU has proven that she has more to offer in this historical romance as she plays a modern-day woman who travelled back in time and falls in love with a prince of the Goryeo family.
5. My Mister
There's no doubt that this award-winning drama featured one of IU's best acting performances. She took on the part of a woman in her 20s who has a tough life and can't trust anyone.
6. Hotel Del Luna
When IU came out as a punished thousand-year-old, materialistic and fashionable owner of a hotel for souls, we know right away we're in it for the long run.
IU did a fantastic job in her every role. That said, she deserves to be cast in more dramas. We can't wait for her TV comeback!
