Lucky fans from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, South Korea, and Philippines got the chance to have a special virtual meet and greet session with their idol AJ Mitchell via Zoom!

Courtesy of Sony Music Philippines and official media partner MYX, four Filipino fans were given a rare opportunity to hang out with the "Slow Dance" hitmaker.

Armed with a microphone and his acoustic guitar, AJ performed “Like Strangers Do” from his home. The 19-year old artist also showed the piano that's been in his possession since he was a kid and performed his latest single “Burn”.

He wrote the said song before the quarantine season and it’s all about finding his purpose and who he wants to become in life. According to AJ, “Burn” is a metaphor for moving forward.

Of course, fans got to know more about AJ during the event. “I write a lot. It’s my favorite thing to do, honestly,” he shared.

Responding to a question about what he does whenever he’s feeling down, AJ told his fans that he thinks of positive things that keep him going. He also keeps focused on his goal to make music for the rest of his life.

And if there’s one artist that he'd pick to be his quarantine buddy, it would have to be Bruno Mars. “Hang out and jam Bruno Mars? That would be awesome. I’m a huge fan since I was a kid, I think it would be cool,” AJ shared. In fact, he also dreams of collaborating with the "Versace On The Floor" hitmaker.

Before wrapping up the session, AJ sincerely told his fans that he appreciates all of them and he hopes to hang out with them in person soon.

AJ visited the Philippines earlier this year. Check out VJ Dani’s MYXclusive interview below:
