MOIRA Gives Away Pre-Loved Electric Guitar, Art Supplies For A Cause
As the ongoing coronavirus pandemic continue to wreak its havoc on people's physical and mental health, Moira dela Torre found solace in the music and arts. In an Instagram post, the "Malaya" singer looks forward to sharing some pre-loved items with fans in hopes that it would serve the same purpose.
Moira announced that she will be giving away her first electric guitar—a gift from her husband and fellow musician Jason Marvin Hernandez—and a bag of art supplies. "At the height of everything that's been happening, I found myself at a crossroad of feeling like I haven't been able to give as much as I would want to and feeling anxiety rise from within me as 2020 threw us so many of its unwanted surprises," she said.
She revealed that learning how to paint and write music with an electric guitar have been therapeutic for her and "helped hone my creativity and helped calm my anxieties."
She added, "I will also list items I have loved and know would bring joy to its new home and in return, I will use that money to further help those in need." Moira announced that all proceeds will go to Silungan Ng Pag-asa—a non profit organization that gives children in need of medical care a home while in treatment.
