'World War Z' Actress Still Hopeful For Sequel
A World War Z sequel was once greenlit by Paramount Pictures but things ultimately went south. Now, one of the action-thriller film's lead stars Mireille Enos shares she's still hopeful that a follow-up will happen seven years after the original film came out.
Speaking with Variety, Enos shared how things went down prior to the project's cancelation. "It seems to have a little curse hanging over it," she explained. "We were all lined up to go. We had (director David) Fincher, we had a beautiful script and then it just didn't happen." She also said that it would be "such a shame" if a sequel won't ever see the light of day.
The 2013 film led by Brad Pitt revolves around a virus that turns infected humans into zombies. It was a critical and financial success, earning $540 million at the worldwide box office.
