TAYLOR SWIFT Becomes First Artist To Debut At No. 1 On Billboard 200 & Hot 100 In The Same Week
Taylor Swift's drastic genre switch is proving not only to be a welcome change but a risk worth taking. The singer-songwriter has made Billboard history by becoming the first artist to debut at the number one spot on both Hot 100 and Billboard 200 charts in the same week!
The announcement was made official via Billboard's Twitter account. Her new album folklore went straight to the number one position on the Billboard 200 chart earlier this week and was quickly followed by the Hot 100 triumph of its lead single "cardigan". Not only that, the tracks "the 1" and "exile" also landed in the Top 10!

This is the first time in history that an artist has debuted at No. 1 on both the #Hot100 and #Billboard200 in the same week.
The fearless leader reacted to the astonishing feat with a gif of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson who she worked with in her previous single "The Man".
The music video for "cardigan" is also marking its fifth consecutive day at the number one spot on the MYX Daily Top 10. Simply unstoppable! Congrats, Taylor!
