MIKE SHINODA Shares Plans To Celebrate 20th Anniversary Of LINKIN PARK's 'Hybrid Theory'
Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory is turning 20 years old this year and things aren't gonna go down without the nu metal rockers celebrating the milestone, even if we're still in the middle of a pandemic.
In an interview with Kerrang, Mike Shinoda shared that they're currently coming up with ideas on how to commemorate the upcoming anniversary of their debut offering. "We’ve done our best to go to a lot of people who are family, in a sense, and say, ‘What do you think we should do? What would be a good celebration of ‘Hybrid Theory?’ and try our best to do a bunch of those ideas."
Even though he didn't end up spilling the beans, this is what Mike had to say: "I don’t know what I should say about it. We’re planning some fun stuff. All I’ll say is that we’ve put some work in – not just the band."
He continued: "In fact, I’d say the label and management and the folks who have been with us for a long time and worked on our stuff along the way… We’ve done our best to kind of go to a lot of people who are family, in a sense, and say, ‘What do you think we should do? What would be a good kind of celebration of ‘Hybrid Theory’?’ and try to do our best to actually do a bunch of those ideas."
Released on October 24, 2000, Hybrid Theory was one of the albums that sparked the nu metal movement of the early 2000s.
