BILLIE EILISH Offers Hope In Uplifting Single "My Future"
If anyone could take her career to the next level during lockdown, it's Billie Eilish. The Grammy-award winning wunderkind attained superstardom, after all, with an album she made at home with her brother and producer Finneas. This #NewMusicFriday, she shocks the music world anew with the sophisticated, sweet single "My Future".
This song was written and recorded in Los Angeles during lockdown and produced along with her brother. It follows the 18-year-old star's groundbreaking debut album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? and the 2020 release of her James Bond song "No Time To Die". It also comes with an animated music video which came out in time for Finneas&# 23rd birthday.
Billie Eilish revealed in a statement, “When we wrote this song, it was exactly where my head was at—hopeful, excited and a crazy amount of self reflection and self growth. But recently it has also taken on a lot of new meaning in the context of what’s happening in the world now. I hope you can all find meaning in it for yourselves.
On his latest Instagram post, birthday boy Finneas shared "The first thing we made during quarantine was “My Future”. I will forever cherish the rainy days I spent making this song with my sister."
The first thing we made during quarantine was “My Future”. I will forever cherish the rainy days I spent making this song with my sister. It’s been a scary year for so many reasons but I choose to be optimistic and so many of you make me feel so inspired about the future. Hope you enjoy this song ♥️
