SPONGE COLA Drops New Song "Lumipas Ang Tag-Araw"
Sponge Cola has a brand new song called “Lumipas Ang Tag-araw” which is out now on all digital platforms.
Before the track's official release, vocalist Yael Yuzon did a short Facebook live session days ago to give everyone a quick taste of this single. He described "Lumipas Ang Tag-Araw" as a "simple love song set in quarantine life".
Capturing the essence of a belated summer anthem in less than four minutes, Sponge Cola’s latest single soars into the fast lane with verses that turn romantic yearning into an inescapable sing-along.

The lyrics are easily relatable as well, depicting the frustration of not being with the people we deeply care about and love because of the quarantine season. “It's a story of connection in separation, and how we can be a source of comfort for each other during difficult times,” guitarist Armo Armovit shared.
Apparently, The band found it challenging to record this pop-rock tune without being together in the same place. Everyone had to record their own parts at home and send it to a communal online drive. The song was produced by veteran producer Angee Rozul.

Moreover, Sponge Cola has signed with Sony Music which released their debut album Palabas in 2004. "Lumipas Ang Tag-araw" marks their return to the said record label.
