7 Times AC Bonifacio Went Full-On K-Pop With Her Dance Covers
Karen Jane Ng
Sure, she's not Korean, but, beyond question, AC Bonifacio has it in her to be a K-pop star if she wants to. That was proven true recently when she bagged second place in Blackpink's - yep, that global girl group - worldwide dance cover comptetion for their comeback single "How You Like That." What can we say? She's not only claiming cash prize and special gifts but also the title of Philippine pride!
To better celebrate the win with her, it's best we check out AC's other K-pop covers done not just randomly in an enclosed studio rather in a way that's also deserving of an award:
1. Blackpink's "How You Like That"
This is what we're talking about. AC went full-on Blackpink, transforming herself in all four members Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa, and nailing the transitions with her exquisite presence and insane moves. How can it not win, right?
2. Blackpink's "Kill This Love"
Girl doesn't really do average. From her outfit to her synchronization with the backup dancers, AC killed it in her "KTL" cover, even BP's choreographer Kiel Tutin himself agrees!
3. Jennie's "SOLO"
It takes glam and swag to come close to BP's Jennie. But given the way AC radiates both in her "SOLO" dance cover, we know for sure that the K-pop idol will be proud once she sees it.
4. EXO's "Love Shot"
AC did the timeless dance craze by EXO justice alongside South Korean performer Dasuri Choi. Body sways, shooting point dance move, appealing vibe - checked!
5. ITZY's "ICY"
Dripping in confidence and vibrant energy, this dance cover will have you adding AC as the sixth member of ITZY. Kudos to the outfit and suit color changes. She's on fire!
6. BTS' "Boy With Luv"
AC, together again with Dasuri, pulled off the soft aesthetic and euphoric concept of the K-pop phenomenon's 2019 smash. We've got nothing but luv for this cover, really!
7. BTS' "ON"
This K-pop slayer pulled off RM, Suga, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook in her own right, bringing herself a whole marching band. The lighting production helped put on the show, too. Bring it on, AC!
Girl didn't come to play. We'll leave it to her to bring Filipino talent to the world=class dancing scene. Let't get it, AC!
