ED SHEERAN Opens Up About 'Addictive Personality'
Ed Sheeran is coming out to reveal his past struggle with his "addictive personality" in a new interview.
The Sun reports that the English singer-songwriter had a chat with an American self-help book publisher where he talked about turning to junk food and alcohol to help him cope with the struggles of being a pop star.
Ed shared: "I have a very addictive personality. Very, very addictive personality." He also said that he noticed the parallels between him and music icon Elton John when he read his autobiography. "He would be like, ‘I would just go on an ice cream binge and eat four fucking desserts until I throw it up’, and I was like, 'I’ve done that before.'”
He continued: "Or his martini binges, where he sees how many he can drink. And I’m like, 'I’ve done that before too.'"
The 29-year-old singer added: "The I think with addiction, it’s just very hard to moderate, but moderation is the key."
The "Shape Of You" hitmaker, who's currently on hiatus, credited his wife Cherry Seaborn for saving him from his destructive habits.
