KATY PERRY Opens Up About Ending Feud With TAYLOR SWIFT
Last year, Katy Perry and Taylor Swift made sure the whole world knew that they already called off their years-long feud when the former made a surprise cameo at the latter's music video "You Need to Calm Down."
And in a new interview with Howard Stern, Katy shared that they decided to squash their beef for good, as "an example of redemption for young girls."
"Gossip and lies, they take the elevator. But the truth takes the stairs, and it just takes time," the pregnant hitmaker said on the radio show. "It’s hard for young girls, growing up [with] cliques and high school and pettiness and all that stuff."
She continued, "Now we’re super friendly and I’ve always wanted the best for her and we can talk about the best we want for each other."
Katy recently released the title track of her upcoming album Smile due out August 14 via Capitol Records. The record will include lead single "Daisies" as well as "Never Really Over" and "Harleys in Hawaii".
