Many Filipinos binge-watching on Netflix have probably seen the Alessandra de Rossi and Paolo Contis-starred movie Through Night & Day, perhaps more times than they can count now. It's been on the top trending picks in the Philippines since it hit the streaming platform on July 9th.

It's inevitable that you'll be looking for more compelling tearjerkers as Through Night & Day afterwards. And if you are, then these ones are for you:

1. On Vodka, Beers, and Regrets

If you relate with Through Night & Day for the way it touches the subjects of not giving up on the people you love and moving on, then you definitely shouldn't miss Bela Padilla and JC Santos' latest pairing on this movie where the former plays a woman struggling with her career, past relationships, and alcohol and the latter a musician trying to save Bela from self-destruction.

2. Just A Stranger

It's a whole different storyline obviously from the very theme of marital affairs. Anne Curtis here, an unhappy married woman, gets entangled with a forbidden love with a younger man, Marco Gumabao. But guaranteed, it gives off the same unexpected and painful plot twist as the story of Ben and Jen in Through Night & Day did.

3. Starting Over Again

This movie revolves around an architecture student (Toni Gonzaga) and her history professor (Piolo Pascual) who fall in love with each other, break up as they pursue their individual dreams, and meet again years later. As it goes deep into the story of getting over a relationship, accepting its end, fixing a broken heart, and literally starting over again makes this an obvious option.

4. Kita Kita

In case you're craving for more, here's another movie from Alessandra to satisfy your "masochist" hearts. Here, she's a tour guide in Japan who becomes blind after suffering high level of stress from discovering her fiance's infidelity and befriends fellow Filipino (Empoy Marquez) keen to bring her our of darkness - a tale also teaching us the importance of making the most of our time with the people we love.

Definitely, these movies will make you feel a certain kind of way as Through Night & Day. They may even have you crying if they hit your emotions hard. We suggest you prepare a lot of tissue - in boxes - just in case.
