BEABADOOBEE Works With THE 1975’s MATTY HEALY, GEORGE DANIEL On New EP
Filipino-British artist beabadoobee revealed that she has been working with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy and drummer George Daniel on new music during our recent MYXclusive interview.
"I’m recording an EP with my band, and Matty and George from The 1975, so we’re all in this house creating music which is super fun," she said excitedly. She didn't, however, throw out an exact date on the collaborative project's release—only that it will come out after her upcoming debut album Fake It Flowers drops later this year.
FYI, this isn't the first time the duo has collaborated with a Filipino artist. They also co-produced No Rome's 2018 EP RIP Indo Hisashi and hopped on the track titled "Narcissist".
During our MYXclusive interview, the 20-year-old also revealed that one of the 11 new tracks in Fake It Flowers is like a screamo. She also talked about how she grew up listening to OPM and watching teleseryes, and how she wants to explore more of the Philippines once it's allowed to travel again, among other things.
"Filipinos have a very special place in my heart considering that it’s my home. It’s so hard to believe that people from there actually know who I am. I just wanna say that I’m really grateful and I appreciate all the support. Just thank you for even thinking of liking my music," she said. Watch our full MYXclusive interview below.
