NAYA RIVERA's Death Ruled Accidental Drowning
Medical examiners have confirmed that Glee star Naya Rivera died of accidental drowning.
The actress-singer's body was recovered at Lake Piru in Southern California five days after she went boating with her 4-year old son who was found safe by himself on the vessel.
According to Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayu, there was no indication of suicide and the accident may have been caused by the lake's strong currents. He said in a statement: "The idea perhaps being that the boat started drifting -- it was unanchored -- and that she mustered enough energy to get her son back onto the boat, but not enough to save herself."
Ventura County's Medical Examiners Office also reported that no traumatic injuries or evidence of alcohol or other substances were found in her body.
