ROBERT DOWNEY JR. Could Reunite With Russo Brothers For Non-Marvel Project
The Russo Brothers could be working once again with Avengers: Endgame star Robert Downey Jr. in the future.
ComicBook.com reports that Joe and Anthony seemingly teased plans of doing a non-Marvel film with the MCU's patriarch. "When asked directly about a project with RDJ, he (Joe) tells ComicBook.com there is 'not long' until such a project brings them back together with the man who played Tony Stark. As for what shape that project is taking behind-the-scenes, the directors can not share just yet -- but it's now just a matter of time."
This isn't the first time the directors expressed their interest in working with the Iron Man star again. Last April, they revealed that they've been discussing potential projects with him. "We'd love to do something with Robert Downey, we're talking about a few things with him."
The duo is already no stranger to working with Marvel stars outside of the billion-dollar franchise. Most recently, they teamed up with Thor star Chris Hemsworth for the action film Extraction. Now, they're close to finishing work on Cherry starring Spider-Man actor Tom Holland.
