Disney executive Mitchell Leib shared his thoughts regarding the idea of doing another TRON film. In a recent appearance on the Light the Fuse podcast, Leib said that it's still a possibility especially now that we have Disney's streaming service: "Now with Disney+, I think there's opportunities to be creating content that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to create, you know because we're in the movie business."

The President of Music & Soundtracks for The Walt Disney Studios also revealed that should they push through with a potential sequel, he'd love to see Daft Punk return to the project. The electronic music duo worked on Legacy's soundtrack. "The right and first thing to do is to try and bring Daft Punk and would they want to and the answer is they're always open to anything and everything, but you gotta take it as it comes and see what the circumstances are."

The TRON franchise kicked off in 1982 and spawn a sequel 28 years later which was led by Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde.
