Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan joins a stellar cast in the book-to-film adaptation of the 2016 memoir by Garrard Conley, Boy Erased!
Sivan - who is a proud member of the LGBT community himself - took to social media to share how excited he is to be part of the movie.

Boy Erased follows the story of Conley (renamed as Jared and played by Lucas Hedges) during his freshman year in college as an outed gay. Raised in a strict family, he will face the dilemma of choosing between attending a gay conversion therapy program or losing his family, friends, and church.
Helmed by Joel Edgerton, Boy Erased also stars Russell Crow, Nicole Kidman, Xavier Dolan, Cherry Jones, and Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Boy Erased is set to hit theaters in 2018.
