BLACKPINK Breaks 5 YouTube Records With "How You Like That"
Guiness World Records confirmed that BLACKPINK's latest single "How You Like That" has broken five YouTube records in the first week of its release.
The track, which earned 86.3 million views in its first day, has reportedly achieved new records for most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, most viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours, and most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group.
The report noted that all three records were previously held by BTS and Halsey in April 2019 for their collaboration "Boy With Luv".
As we have earlier reported and was later confirmed by YouTube, Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé also set two new records for the most viewers for the premiere of a video and the most viewers for the premiere of a music video on the platform with 1.66 million peak concurrent viewers during the live premiere.
"How You Like That" is just the first taste of new music from the girls as they prepare for their debut album due out sometime in September. Two other tracks will be released prior to the full album release. Meanwhile, Rosé, Lisa, and Jisoo's solo tracks are already in the works and will be released after September.
Until then, watch the music video for "How You Like That," which has more than 180 million views as of writing.
