ST. WOLF Teases Collabs With Solo & Duo Artists In Upcoming "RMNNTS Vol. I" EP

St. Wolf's new EP has been confirmed for August and we've already gotten a taste of what it's going to sound like with the release of reimagined versions of their 2018 singles "Jealousy" and "Gary Vince"!
Titled RMNNTS Vol. I, the upcoming record is seen by the band members as "remnants" of their days in quarantine. "At the start of the lockdown, we wanted to not stop making music. So at first it was like, 'Let's just do something to have fun,' kasi we missed doing live shows so much but we can't," bassist Karlo Maglasang recalled during their MYXclusive interview with VJs Ai dela Cruz and Samm Alvero.
"But then, habang ginagawa namin siya, we saw na parang each of the songs reflected our daily lives so we kinda made it na parang whole remnants thing, a chronological mirror of how we felt all throughout the lockdown," he explained.
It being a mix of old-but-new tracks obviously signals a new sound for St. Wolf, hence, a new era too. "Probably for me, it's probably a new era din. Even from the very root of when we're starting out making the songs na we're away from each other and more technologies were involved in making this, zoom calls, and more reliant on computers... I think it's a new age," guitarist Vince Lucero said.
And, no doubt, the band is taking this new musical direction seriously with two featuring collaborations coming up—as frontman KL dela Cruz accidentally revealed!
"What I can say with the first collab is swabe, sakto, perfect for the song," Vince continued for KL. "It's with a duo and everything that I said is the description for that duo. Tamang-tama lang." Another clue: The duo's name is also animal-related!
With the second one which is a solo artist, KL teased, "Galit yung second collab, how the people feel now." Any guesses?
