'Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World' Could Return As A Cartoon Series
To celebrate 10 years since it hit theaters, the cast and crew of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World came together for a virtual reunion chronicling the film's creation.
The commemoration kickstarted in May and continued via Entertainment Weekly's oral history of the action-fantasy film based off Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novel series.
The virtual special saw lead stars Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, along with Chris Evans, Kieran Culkin, Ellen Wong, Jason Schwartzman, and director Edgar Wright back together for the first time in years as they talked about the film's legacy and how it became a cult classic even though it didn't do well at the box office.
The mini reunion wasn't the only treat Scott Pilgrim fans got as Wright revealed that there have been talks of continuing Scott's misadventures via an animated series. "There’s some plans—and there’s nothing official yet—but there are some plans to revisit the material in an animation way," he said. If the project pushes through, O’Malley will also be involved in its production.
Would you be down to seeing Scott, Ramona and the gang back in cartoon form?
