Hardcourt veteran Vince Carter has announced his retirement from the NBA after an astonishing 22-year pro career.

Mr. "Half Man, Half Amazing" himself confirmed his retirement during an appearance on the Wing It podcast by The Ringer. "I'm officially done playing basketball professionally."

Vinsanity made his professional debut in 1998 and was the no. 5 pick in that year's NBA draft. The fan-favorite shooting guard is best known for playing in teams like the Toronto Raptors and the New Jersey Nets. He's also considered a journeyman, having played for other NBA franchises such as Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, and Sacramento Kings.

Carter, 43, finished his career with the Atlanta Hawks.
