MICHAEL KEATON In Talks To Play Batman Again In 'The Flash'
You can never say never in the DC Universe. Nearly 30 years after he last donned the iconic cape and cowl, we could see Michael Keaton make his triumphant return as Batman in the upcoming The Flash movie starring Ezra Miller.
According to TheWrap, the 68-year-old actor, who last played Bruce Wayne and his alterego in 1992's Batman Returns, is in talks with Warner Bros. and DC to reprise the role.
Keaton and director Tim Burton are revered by fans for bringing a darker and grittier approach to the iconic DC hero which began in 1989's Batman.
The solo Flash film is slated for release in 2022. Directed by Andy Muschietti, The Flash will draw massive inspiration from the Flashpoint storyline where Barry Allen, in an attempt to save his mother, accidentally travels to another dimension where the world he knows doesn't exist.
Previous reports also claim that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is set to reprise his role as Thomas Wayne aka Flashpoint Batman. Don't be confused as the move will not affect Matt Reeves' The Batman starring Robert Pattinson which isn't connected to the DCEU.
