BTS, along with their label Big Hit Entertainment, donated a million dollars to Crew Nation, a campaign spearheaded by American event promoter Live Nation in support of concert crew members who were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This includes over 70 people originally scheduled to be part of the global group's Map of the Soul 2020 World Tour which was cancelled along with other live music events. "We are aware that a lot of communities need help due to COVID-19, and we wanted to support the music industry crews by making a donation. We hope to meet again on stage very soon," BTS said in a statement.
Live Nation CEO Michael Rapino took to Twitter to thank BTS and Big Hit for the generous contribution.
