He's got over a million subscribers on YouTube but just like any other content creator, that didn't come easy for Benedict Cua.
"First four months ko, I didn't earn anything. Zero talaga," he shared to VJs Ai dela Cruz and Samm Alvero during a MYXclusive virtual interview. Apart from that, Benedict also recalled getting unfavorable comments which really challenged him.
"Nung naka-receive ako ng comment na talagang directed to me and my content, parang 'Itong bagong vlogger namang 'to, basura naman yung content, 'di naman masyadong maganda,', oh my God, kahit isa lang siya, this is a real person hiding behind a username. And I wondered, 'Baduy ba talaga content ko? Di naman pala na-appreciate so sayang yung in-edit ko ng 12 hours,' parang ganon."
The YouTuber admitted losing motivation at some point but he chose to focus on the positive instead. "I just figured recently, you just look back to your older contents and focus on the good stuff. Kasi itong isang tao na 'to nakakasira siya ng momentum. So instead of focusing on that one negativity in your life, focus on the 99 other positive stuff."
And now, Benedict is taking on a brand new challenge as a recording artist! He just released his debut single under PolyEast Records, "Di Namalayan", which was written by TJ Monterde.
