WATCH: GIRLS' GENERATION Members Reflect On The Group's Longevity
Karen Jane Ng
During an episode of JTBC's Give Me A Meal, Girls' Generation members Sunny and Yuri were asked to reflect if they think their K-Pop group - who just made a successful comeback and 10th debut anniversary weeks ago -will last forever.
"Well, nobody knows," Sunny thoughtfully said as the future seems uncertain for her. Host Kang Ho Dong jokingly added, "Will you guys be together even when you become "Housewives' Generation"?" Yuri rides in, "Even if we become housewives, our names will still be Girls' Generation so I guess we'll last forever..."
Asked more if they are seeing themselves celebrating a 20th anniversary, Yuri answered, "We didn't know we would be celebrating our 10th," to which Sunny chimed in to explain, "During our time, not many idol groups lasted more than 5 years... There's more weight on our words now and that's why I'm more careful about what I say. I can't just say things easily."
We understand, ladies. But we really hope you'll do last forever. Watch the whole interview here:
