We've said this countless times: It's hard to imagine Captain America played by anyone other than Chris Evans! But if he had his way, the actor would've wanted to play a different Marvel hero.

In a new interview with SCMP, Chris revealed that even though he will always have a soft spot for Captain America, Spider-Man was his favorite growing up and it's his dream role. "I love Captain America, but Spider-Man was my childhood hero. I would have loved doing scenes like attaching myself to the sides of buildings and trying to spring from one building to the next."

Still, he's got some reservations about playing the web-slinging fellow. "But I would have hated to wear Spider-Man’s mask. I’m very claustrophobic, and I doubt whether I could have worn that kind of full suit and mask for hours a day on a set. I much prefer my Captain America outfit, which I think is cooler anyway!"

When you think about it, he could still play an older Peter Parker ala Spider-Verse so why the heck not? Aside from his iconic run as the star-spangled hero, Chris previously played Johnny Storm aka Human Torch in the Fantastic 4 franchise.
