Veteran Actress ANITA LINDA Dies At 95
The local film and entertainment industry is mourning the passing of veteran actress Anita Linda. She was 95.
It's rare for an actress to find a second (third? fourth?) wave of career resurgence when she's already in her 80s. But Anita Linda surely loved acting so much she continuously gave us great performances up until her 90s.— Nicol (@nikowl) June 10, 2020

Director Adolfo Alix Jr. - who worked with the actress in the 2018 film Adela - confirmed the news earlier today. "This is a very sad day for me. I am trembling as I am gathering my thoughts... The great Anita Linda has passed away this morning at 6:15AM. Prayers for her soul. My condolences to her family and her children, Francesca Legaspi and Fred Osburn," he wrote.
A decorated film and TV actress, Ms. Anita is regarded as one of the oldest working actresses in Philippine cinema. She appeared in films like Sisa, Sister Stella L., Ang Babae Sa Bubungang Lata, and The Mistress to name a few. Teleserye fans will also remember her roles in the original versions of Anna Liza, Mara Clara, and Pangako Sa 'Yo.
