The film was originally slated for an April 2022 release but production had to be delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, it's all systems go over at Sony and there's no stopping its October 2022 release!

We still don't much about the sequel and its plot but judging by the 2018 blockbuster's post-credit scene, we can expect Miguel O'Hara aka Spider-Man 2099 to join the gang. The Japanese super sentai version of the webcrawler Supaidaman is also rumored to appear in the next Spider-Verse flick.
