OPM classic "Kailangan Kita", originally released in 2002, has been recorded by different Filipino artists over the years, but never by Broadway legend Lea Salonga who, apparently, was the singer that Ogie Alcasid had in mind when he composed the track.

During her latest at-home concert for the Bayanihan, Musikahan fundraiser, Lea put her own spin to the track with help from music director Ria Osorio. She also performed her movie theme songs "Sana Maulit Muli" and "Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal" as well as her versions of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", "Happy Days Are Here Again", and "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables.

Gary Valenciano, Piolo Pascual, and Angeline Quinto are among those who have released their own versions of "Kailangan Kita".
