MELANIE C Transforms Into A Video Game Character For Action-Packed "Blame It On Me" Video
Pop icon Melanie C has released her new solo single "Blame It On Me" and its music video. The song follows the anthemic "Who Am I" and marks the second single off her upcoming solo album.
The brand new track, according to a press release, "is another blast of unapologetic modern pop from [the singer], calling out toxicity in a relationship over a life-long love of disco, electronic music, and the sometimes-life-long journey it takes to stand up for yourself." Meanwhile, its accompanying visual finds the 46-year-old Spice Girls member as one of the characters in a Street Fighter-inspired video game.
In a MYXclusive interview, Mel revealed more of her upcoming record, saying "I wanted to make an electronic record. It's quite dance-y but I wanted it to have some really heartfelt and thoughtful lyrics. So a lot of the album is reflective and it is about empowering not only myself but the listeners." She boldly added, "I think it's gonna be one of my best."
