BILLIE EILISH Slams Objectification In Short Film "Not My Responsibility"
On the first night of her Where Do We Go? world tour last March, Billie Eilish addressed the commentary surrounding her choice to wear baggy outfits with a powerful short film titled Not My Responsibility. Today, the 18-year-old shared the clip to the entire world.
The nearly four-minute clip finds Billie reciting a spoken word performance as she strips down to her underclothes and sinking into water. "If I wear what is comfortable I am not a woman. If I shed the layers, I'm a slut," she points out in the clip. "Though you’ve never seen my body you still judge it and judge me for it why?" Watch it in full below:
Billie was supposed to do her first show in Manila in September 2020, but was forced to postpone the rest of her show dates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She assured fans that new dates are already being finalized and will be announced afterwards. "All tickets will be honored accordingly. Thank you for understanding. Stay safe, and stay home," she said in a tweet.
