The announcement was made during his Man of Steel watch party with Superman himself Henry Cavill. According to the director, the project will require some time to be completed. Reshoots are rumored to take place and a budget of 20 million dollars will be devoted for the completion of CGI and VFX.

Batman star Ben Affleck instantly trended on Twitter as fans celebrated the success of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement.

The actor-director had to retire the iconic cape and cowl in early 2019 after plans for his standalone Bat-flick didn't work out but his support for the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement has been consistent over the last 2 years. With this new development, could we see Batfleck back permanently in the DCEU?

Zack Snyder's Justice League will hit HBO Max in 2021 and according to the director himself, it will be entirely different from the theatrical cut which allegedly only consisted 1/4 of his footage. The film is also rumored to be at least 4 hours long with Black-suited Superman, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Darkseid all confirmed to appear.
