ELY BUENDIA Thanks Fans For Supporting 'Ang Huling El Bimbo The Musical' Online Run
Ely Buendia is once again celebrating the triumph of the hit Eraserheads-inspired theater production Ang Huling El Bimbo The Musical following its well-received 2-day online run.
'AHEB' was able to captivate audiences anew with its story that revolves around life, love and friendship perfectly told through the music of the country's biggest band ever. Aside from the tears, laughter and nostalgia it brought fans, the online premiere of the musical successfully raised over P12 million donations for ABS-CBN's Pantawid ng Pag-ibig program.
In an Instagram post, Ely congratulated the team behind the successful production. He also took the time to extend his gratitude to the fans who donated. "Last gig before the lockdown. Congratulations to the cast and crew of AHEB, Full House Theater Company, Ultimate Shows, Resorts World Manila and ABS-CBN for the 7 million views on youtube and thank you to all who contributed to the P12 million!"
In 2018, we got Ely's reaction after seeing the musical. He said: "I hated it! Pinaiyak ako eh! I was on the edge of my seat. Not just storywise but also, 'Paano kaya nila gagamitin itong song na 'to?' It was a very fun experience."
