KIM CHIU Releases Full Version Of "Bawal Lumabas" Track
Kim Chiu is proving that she's a good sport despite the criticism she's been receiving online after airing her sentiments regarding the ABS-CBN shutdown.
The Love Thy Woman star's controversial statement spawned countless "Bawal Lumabas" memes and parodies all over social media but now, she's turning the negatives into positives in her latest vlog entry!
According to her, the entire experience taught her to embrace who she is and to be more true to herself. Kim also revealed that the backlash affected her but instead of dwelling on the negativity, she's still thankful for the attention she received. "Mabigat talaga siya. As in hindi ko in-expect na kaya magsalita ng mga tao ng ganon... hurtful words. Grabe, paggising ko, tapos yung mga tao pinagtawanan yung sinabi ko."
She jokingly added: "At ako din, honestly natawa na lang din ako. Sabi ko talaga, 'Shucks! 'Di ko naintindihan pala yung sinabi ko no? Kaya hindi ako binoto ng mga kaklase ko nung kapag ako yung pinagdi-debate nila.' But oh well, past is past. It's done and now nandito na tayo ngayon into another chapter and I want to make negative things into positive kasi ang dami na ring malungkot na tao ngayon so dahil sa 'Bawal Lumabas' natawa sila."
Kimmy also got the chance to talk to Adrian Crisanto who penned an open letter for the Kapamilya actress on Facebook. DJ Squammy, the person behind the now viral track, was also featured in the video. Little did we know that they had a huge surprise in store for us!
Towards the end of the vlog, Kim unveiled that she recorded an updated version of "Bawal Lumabas" aka The Classroom Song with the help of Squammy and Adrian. It still makes use of the same infectious beat and catchy chorus that the original song had. It's both wacky and endearing at the same time!
We admire you now more than ever, Kim! Watch the vlog in full here:
