KATY PERRY Shuts Down TAYLOR SWIFT Collab Rumors On Next Album

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry officially buried the proverbial hatchet when they hugged it out in Taylor's music video "You Need to Calm Down".

Since then, Swifties and Katy Cats have been wondering if and when the two pop superstars are planning to team up on a song. Most recently, fans speculated that Tay did background vocals for Katy's latest single "Daisies" which the latter immediately rebuffed.

During her latest interview with Hits Radio Breakfast, Katy said of the rumor, "No, it's not correct. But the fans are definitely excited for something like that to happen in the future, and I'm always open."

And it appears that fans would have to wait a little while longer to witness a collab as Katy said that her upcoming fifth album, which is due out August 14th, won't feature a track with Tay. "No! Not as yet," she exclaimed. Watch her interview below:
