JEREMY ZUCKER Talks Dream Collaborations With THE 1975, LAUV

New York-based singer, songwriter and producer Jeremy Zucker prefers to work on his own and describes the making of his debut album love is not dying and the rest of his music repertoire as a "very solitary process".

In his most recent MYXclusive interview, the 24-year-old hitmaker explained that this kind of setup is why his "music comes out sounding the way that it does, in the sense that it is really familiar and digestible for a lot of people." The "come thru" hitmaker labels his sound as "ear candy" and "feel-good", saying that he "crafts them that way very specifically so it gives you like a warm feeling."

This also means that Jeremy is not very keen on working on music with other artists. He explained, "I really want to work so hard at what I'm doing and what I can do alone. I really wan to just reach my limits in terms of that and expand my horizons in terms of what I can do on my own."

Still, Jeremy is not closing his doors on the idea of a collaboration if it's with The 1975. According to him, he holds the band in high regard for pushing boundaries and genre definitions in music. "That's the sort of stuff that I tend to gravitate towards and that's the kind of stuff that I'm trying to do—break the barriers of genre and redefine what pop music means, and also build a layer of complexity to what a pop artist is," he said.

Jeremy also went on to reveal that he and his good friend Lauv have been "talking about collaborating for so long." He said, "We're not trying to force it really, and we obviously really can't do anything now, but eventually it will probably happen. I mean, we see each other fairly often."
