It's been long overdue but Marvel Studios is once again rumored to be developing a Nova project years after their original plans were halted.

The intergalactic police force Nova Corps was first introduced in 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy and the character was supposed to make his debut in Avengers: Infinity War. Remember Bruce Banner/Hulk's arc where Heimdall sends him crashing into Doctor Strange's Sanctum to warn everyone about Thanos? That role was originally planned for the human-turned-superhero but plans were nixed.

Now, Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman reporting via Illuminerdi that Kevin Feige and crew have returned to the drawing board to produce a solo Nova project which will possibly arrive as early as Phase 5.

We're not quite sure yet if it's going to be a TV series or a standalone film and which iteration of the character it would be – the original Richard Rider or the new generation version Sam Alexander – but it'll be interesting to see what Nova brings to the table and how he shakes up the MCU.

Other details about the project have yet to be confirmed but if it were up to you, who would you cast as the MCU's Nova?

How do you feel about this?
