4TH IMPACT's Single "K(NO)W MORE" Was Inspired By Their Simultaneous Breakups
For the first time ever, 4th Impact shared the story behind their empowering original single "K(NO)W MORE" here on MYX.
VJ Ai Dela Cruz had a fun chat with sisters Almira, Irene, Mylene, and Celina who talked about what inspired the song. "Nabuo po siya sa breakup stories," they revealed during the MYXclusive interview.
Originally, they weren't planning to release a heartbreak song as their debut single. But Almira, Irene, and Mylene unfortunately dealt with really tough breakups from their first boyfriends - at the same time.
"Ayun po VJ Ai, parang timely s'ya na domino effect. Kasi po last year, sabay-sabay po kaming nawalan ng aming mga first boyfriends so yung heartbreak 'di namin in-expect," Almira shared.
"So instead of focusing sa mga gusto naming songs about dreams or for love or something, sabi ng composers namin parang mas personal or makaka-relate (kami) if 'yung galing talaga or kung ano yung nararamdaman namin. So thank you to Ate Patricia Manalo and Ramiru Mataro na nag-compose ng lyrics at melody."
"Dito lang po namin 'yan na-share sa MYX," Almira told VJ Ai.
As for their youngest sister Celina, she's a bonafide NBSB (No Boyfriend Since Birth) since the girls have a very strict mother who they even compared to the one and only Mommy Divine Geronimo.
"Kasi po kung hindi niyo po natatanong yung mother namin is very strict, parang yung mother po ni Ate Sarah. And mas marami kaming girls so mas strict siya so yung mga first love po namin talagang pinaglaban namin pero wala pala talaga. Di pala nila kami ipaglalaban," Irene opened up.
4th Impact is planning to shoot a music video for "K(NO)W MORE" but everything's still on hold because of the ongoing lockdown. They're also set to do an official choreography for their single with the help of G-Force so watch out for that!
In the meantime, let's all catch up with the girl group by watching the full MYXclusive interview here:
