'Pirates Of The Caribbean' Reboot Could Star KAREN GILLAN In The Lead
Disney's Pirates of the Carribean franchise will carry on without Johnny Depp and is rumored to be captained by a fresh new face.
According to film insider Daniel Richtman, the House of Mouse is looking to turn the series' tide by replacing the wise and cunning Jack Sparrow with a female lead. And the actor they reportedly have in mind? No other than Scottish stunner Karen Gillan who stars in Guardians of the Galaxy as Nebula.
The 32-year-old actress is no stranger to taking on action-packed roles. Aside from her involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Karen also stars as the feisty Ruby Roundhouse in the successful Jumanji reboot opposite Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
Nothing has been confirmed yet so take everything with a grain of salt. The question is, are we ready to see a female-led 'Pirates' film?
