CHRIS HEMSWORTH's 'Extraction' Getting A Sequel
Fans won't have to guess what the future holds for Chris Hemsworth's latest film Extraction as it's confirmed to be getting a sequel!
Writer Joe Russo recently spoke with Deadline and revealed plans for a future installment in the action-thriller extravaganza. According to him, they're already trying to come up with a narrative for the sequel. "The deal is closed for me to write Extraction 2, and we are in the formative stages of what the story can be," the Avengers: Endgame director said.
Joe added: "We’re not committing yet to whether that story goes forward, or backward in time. We left a big loose ending that leaves question marks for the audience."
Hemsworth previously stated that he's open to do a sequel. "There's been a lot of talk about sequels and prequels, and all I can say is who knows, but with this kind of support, it's something I would be pretty stoked to jump back into."
Extraction marks director Sam Hargrave's feature film debut. The Netflix original film is based on the graphic novel Ciudad and follows the story of a black market mercenary who is on a mission to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord.
