Only a few names come to mind when talking about prodigies in the local hip-hop scene. And one of those names belongs to 13-year-old Alex Bruce. In fact, the talented girl has already worked with international hitmaker August Rigo—the Filipino-Canadian producer behind BTS hits "Black Swan" and "ON"—on multiple occasions, the latest being her newest single "Go Crazy".

Rigo earlier told MYX how mindblown he was working with Alex on the track. "I think that, you know, at 12 or 13 years old, to have that much skill already, the potential for her is endless and it'd be really great to jump in at the beginning stages and help her cultivate her sound."

Recently, it was the youngin's turn to share her side of the story in the making of "Go Crazy" - specifically her reservations when it comes to her singing voice during a MYXclusive interview. "I'm not yet that much confident pagdating sa singing 'cause I'm still working on it," she said, adding later on how the record pushed her to take a step out of her comfort zone.

"I don't trust myself that much if I'm singing kasi di ko gusto yung boses ko masyado," she confessed. "Pero yun, I made this song na kumakanta ako and it was unbelievable. I thought nung nagre-record kami, I thought it wouldn't be as good pero when I heard the song I was so shocked kasi I didn't know that was me."

As for new music, Alex revealed that she has been writing songs on her own while on quarantine. In fact, she's almost done with this song about giving someone a taste of their own medicine. Find out more about this new track and more in our MYXclusive interview below.
