COLN Reveals They Almost Played Live At The MOA Arena
Rock band COLN revealed that they almost got the chance to play at the Mall of Asia Arena this year, but their dream gig was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Marami kaming events na hindi natuloy dahil sa lockdown," the band revealed during their recent MYXclusive chat with VJ Ai and VJ Dani. Their performance at the MOA Arena was supposed to be for an e-sports event from the gaming brand that sponsored their "Lakas" music video.
"Muntik na tayong makatugtog MOA Arena, hindi pa natuloy!" exclaimed lead vocalist and influential YouTube vlogger Cong Velasquez.
The band hopes to perform in different events once the COVID-19 crisis is over. They even want to take the international stage if given a chance. "MYX, dalhin niyo kami sa Japan!" Cong jokingly pleaded to VJ Ai and Dani.
However, the members of COLN are happy to know that their songs and videos are helping fans get through this difficult time. Drummer Niño Denso revealed "Mayroong isang comment akong nabasa doon na depressed daw siya, parang gusto na niya raw sumuko sa buhay tapos nung napakinggan niya raw yung COLN nabuhayan raw siya tapos naging masaya siya tapos tinuluy-tuloy niya ulit yung buhay niya.
"Usually nag-thank you talaga sila. Parang personal na maririnig mo na genuine sila. Di natin alam, maybe we saved them. Di natin alam na baka na-touch natin yung puso nila. Nagpapasalamat talaga sila," bassist Yow Andrada also shared.
"Yun naman pinaka-goal ng mga kanta namin, eh," Cong added. For more inspiration and laughs from COLN, check out the full MYXclusive interview:
