EMINEM Donates "Mom's Spaghetti" To Frontliners Fighting COVID-19 In Detroit
Look, if you have one shot or one opportunity to support and honor those very courageous medical frontliners fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, you gotta take it like Eminem who had one of the shrewdest ideas ever.
The award-winning rapper recently donated spaghetti meals to feed the staff of Henry Ford Hospital in his hometown Detroit. And guess what, the containers were labeled "Mom's Spaghetti" in reference to a line from his Oscar-winning anthem "Lose Yourself", the soundtrack of his 2002 film 8 Mile.
Eminem first opened "Mom's Spaghetti" pop-ups in 2017. Although he kept his act of altruism low key, the hospital posted about his donations which also came with the message "Thank You Frontline Caregivers".
"Our #HealthcareHeroes “lost themselves” in the delicious Mom’s Spaghetti donated by Detroit’s very own @eminem. Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members!" the caption reads.
"Anything to put a smile on the faces of some extraordinary women and men, if even for just a few bites," the rapper's manager Paul Rosenberg responded. They really deserve your "Mom's Spaghetti", Eminem!
