Fans Send K-Drama Recommendations To Director ERIK MATTI After Critical Tweet

Filipino filmmaker Erik Matti became a trending topic after criticizing K-Drama on his Twitter account.

The On The Job and Buy Bust director pointed out how the future of "our movies and TV" is "doomed" after seeing the most watched list on Netflix. "K-drama galore. Faux cinderella stories with belofied actors whiter than white. And it’s all about love in the midst of this pandemic," he wrote.

Naturally, a lot of K-drama fans were infuriated with his choice of words and voiced out their opinions on the microblogging site. Others handled the situation lightly and instead of retaliating, they gave the renowned director a few suggestions – from the Park Seo-joon-led Itaewon Class to the Kim Tae-hee-starrer Hi Bye Mama – to prove the diversity of K-Dramas.
