HUGH JACKMAN Comments On Possible MCU Wolverine Reboot
You can't think of Wolverine without ever associating the character with Hugh Jackman.
The Aussie stud has been the face of the X-Men film franchise for 17 years and his retirement from the iconic role was a bitter to pill to swallow for a lot of fans. Now, Jackman is looking into the future and is excited for Marvel Studios' upcoming reboot now that Disney has acquired the X-property.
In an interview with The Daily Beast, the star of The Greatest Showman said he knew it was time to hang up his adamantium claws and end the saga in 2017's R-rated smash hit Logan. "I knew it was the right time for me to leave the party — not just for me, but for the character."
He added: "Somebody else will pick it up and run with it. It's too good of a character not to. It's kind of like, you're on your way home and your friend rings you and goes, 'Oh, dude, a new DJ just came on and the music is awesome, are you going to come back?' And you say, 'Sounds good but… no.' They're fine with someone else."
It's still unclear when the mutants will make their way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe but who do you think should be Hugh Jackman's successor?
